OOPS, I FORGOT MY CAMERA!
Indeed and I am sorry.
One thing I certainly can say, it was what we were looking for.
Few years ago, we spent a new year's eve , in the same place and it was superb (for an all inclusive) .
Now, this time, the property has changed ownership, so we really did not know if it had changed for the best or the worst.
Ok, ok, the place: http://www.couples.com/14cs/index.html
Yes, Couples San Souci, Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
We were there just a couple of weekends ago and......
.....it was exactly as we experienced few years ago.
First of all the property is fantastic: tropical, original vegetation, a natural fresh water spring, beaches, one of which is a nude beach (but judging on the oversize tourist population, the view must be dreadful), natural coves and rocks but what is more important for the landscape is how the architectural structure blends or not in the natural landscape.
This one is perfectly hidden and when you see it, it just reveals itself as a nice English colonial architecture, Fretworks, white columns and the sort.
Everything kept spotless from dust, rust and age and human presence..
The service is very....amiable, I would say, not fakely touristic, just truly Jamaican proper and that means: with very good manners.
Food, surprisingly for an all inclusive, was very good and constantly very good. All served on very nicely appointed tables, white table clothes and I mean white, not almost yellow or spotted, nice cutleries, proper sets of glasses and there is always someone that keeps an eye on your glasses.
Yes you have a choice amongst a white (Chardonnay, a lot of Americans and Canadian, that's why), a rose' and a red wine: a decent Chilean brand, medium high. Ahhhh, also a Blanc de Blanc, a French white sparkling wine, poured as a Champagne but hey....ok very good resort but for the real Champagne try Royal Plantation (same area, different prices, very different: just google it).
What else....??????
Ahhhhhh, beside several water activities we did, windsurf, catamaran, kayak and swimming, it is easy to burn calories, one thing that we will never understand is that on 10 foreign tourists in the property, 8 were over weight and no, they definitely were not there for the aquatic sports or any other sort of sports.
One thing that always hits me it is why these people have to go around, in the property with a bottle of water in their hands, like they are going to conquer a peak of the blue mountains chain or sail to Cuba.
What is wrong with....................
And you should see their breakfast dish, no sorry, I should say dishes, because being a buffet, the self serving is multiple.
Why do you need eggs and bacon and some more for breakfast when you are in vacation, when the energy that you are going to spend is to move your wazoo from the breakfast chair to the beach launch chair, just few steps away and then back in 4 hours for lunch????????
So, if you just take this picturesque scenario as a normal part of your stay (actually after a while it becomes like....bird watching...ahhhh, no like whale watching) your stay will be just what you were looking for and we were looking for 2 days of "sea" pampering, our style.
We succeeded.

Wow sounds like you really enjoy your vacations! Love the all inclusive resorts. It's the only way to go. That's why I go on cruises. You sound like a guy who needs a south beach penthouse to spend your free time at.

all inclusive vacations are the best. I would highly recommend them. It is never good to go and then have to watch every penny you spend, trying to make sure that you are not getting ripped off. Hope your trip was good.
